  • “Common Interest Materials” refers to materials outlined in clause 5 of this Agreement.
  • “Confidential Information” encompasses this policy, including its existence and the Purpose, as well as any information concerning the Disclosure or belonging to it, disclosed in writing, orally, or through other means to the Recipient or its representatives. It excludes information that the Recipient can demonstrate to the Discloser’s reasonable satisfaction:
    • was publicly available, not due to a breach of this Agreement.
    • was obtained from a third party without breaching any confidentiality obligations; or
    • was already possessed by the Recipient before being provided by the Disclosure.
  • “Representatives” include a party’s advisors, directors, employees, agents, officers, auditors, insurers, affiliates, current or potential funders, and current or potential investors.

Additional information are gathered such as medical history, social habits, medications, dental history, previous dental records, previous dentists details. We may also gather additional information when you offer feedback, share personal or business details, adjust content preferences, respond to surveys or promotions, provide financial information, engage with our customer support, when you use a credit card to pay your account and/or you ask us to claim from health funds. Furthermore, any other information you provide us during interactions and treatment sessions may also be collected.

We collect and safeguard your personal information through various channels, including electronic and in-person interactions, signed forms, verbal communications, website usage, and service provision. Additionally, personal information may be obtained from third parties such as:

  • Health insurance providers
  • Medicare
  • Veteran affairs
  • National or local hospital or medical facilities
  • GP clinics, doctors and/or other health practitioners
  • other dentists and/or other dental specialists

If the patient requires dental service and is legally unable to provide consent or information (such as child, or person who lacks capacity), we require the information to be provided by the patient’s legal guardian.

Your personal and additional information collected helps us understand and assess your dental needs better, maintain and manage your file, enhance our offerings, provide you with our dental services safely, invoice you, process health funds claims, follow ups on services and reminders for check-ups, collect unpaid amounts, warn you about possible risks and hazards, and to inform you about new opportunities. We may reach out to you via multiple channels, including telephone, email, SMS, in-person, mail and/or via third party communication. In addition, we are committed to ensure all your information are accurate, complete and up to date.

5. Disclosure Of Your Personal Information

By providing your information or signing any of our company forms, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the outlined disclosures. We ensure third parties adhere to this Policy when handling your information. Your information can be shared or disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • If you ask us in writing by providing a signed consent to disclose your information to a third party. In an emergency, if you nominated emergency contact or next of kin. Our contact details outlined in section 11 of this policy. We will always try to meet your request within a reasonable time.

  • to other healthcare providers, doctors, other dentists, dental specialists, dental laboratories, dental technicians (within Australia or overseas) for the purpose of seeking a second opinion, referral or provide advisory related to your delta treatment and/or services.
  • We may disclose specific information to debts collectors and/or any third party to recover amounts of your invoices that you did not pay within the time limits.
  • In the event of a change in our business control or asset sale, we reserve the right to transfer user databases, along with personal and non-personal information, under confidentiality agreements.

6. Security Measures For Your Information

The company is dedicated to maintaining the security of the information you provide. We implement appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial protocols to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or loss of data. While we take precautions to protect information, the transmission and exchange of data carry inherent risks. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to or received from us.

You can request details of information held about you. An administrative fee may apply and is limited to recouping the cost ofproviding you with your records, x-rays, photographs, models and its delivery costs. If you believe your information, we hold is inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading, please contact us via phone or e-mail immediately. We reserve the right towithhold information in certain circumstances as per the Privacy Act. Your request may be denied for the following reasons:

  • we no longer hold any information about you;
  • Your request is frivolous or vexatious;
  • If the information has a relation to existing or anticipated legal proceedings and would not normally disclosed as part of those proceedings.
  • If providing access would be unlawful; and if denying access is required or allowed by law.

It is important to ensure all your information are accurate and up to date to provide you with the best possible service. We take allreasonable measures to ensure that all your information we hold about you is accurate and up to date. You need to inform us with any changes to your details, including address change, mobile number, health provider, health insurer.

The company performs periodic reviews on all its policies including the Privacy Policy. Any modifications will be effective immediately upon posting on our website or notice board.
