Grinding and Sleep Dentistry

Teeth Grinding and Jaw Pain

Teeth grinding, also known as bruxism, is a common condition that affects many people, and can cause a variety of dental issues, including wear and tear on the teeth, jaw pain, headaches, and even broken teeth. In addition, sleep disorders such as sleep apnoea can also impact your dental health and overall well-being. At Accolade Dental, we offer individualised, evidence-based approaches to address both grinding and sleep disorders through specialised sleep dentistry treatments. Our experienced team can work with you to diagnose and help manage the underlying causes of these conditions, and support you in improving your dental and overall health.

We take the time to understand your unique needs and concerns and develop customised treatment plans that address your specific issues. Call us on (08) 7078 3555 to book an appointment.

Grinding / Bruxism

For patients who suffer from grinding, we offer customised dental appliances, or nightguards, which can be worn while sleeping to protect your teeth from the damaging effects of grinding. These devices are designed to fit your mouth precisely and comfortably and may help reduce the impact of grinding on your teeth and jaw muscles.

Sleep Disorders

For those who suffer from sleep disorders, we offer a range of sleep dentistry treatments, including oral appliance therapy. This type of therapy involves the use of a specially designed oral device, which is worn while sleeping to help keep your airway open and may help alleviate symptoms of sleep apnoea. Oral appliance therapy is a clinically recognised treatment option for certain types of sleep apnoea and may be suitable as an alternative to traditional CPAP therapy, depending on individual assessment.

Our team is dedicated to providing compassionate and personalised care to all of our patients. We take the time to understand your unique needs and concerns and develop customised treatment plans that address your specific issues.

If you’re experiencing symptoms of grinding or sleep disorders, or are concerned about your dental health, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Our team is here to provide you with the care and support you need to work toward improvement.
